St. Therese's Little Way

"...is the path of spiritual childhood, it is the way of trust and entire self-surrender...I feel that my mission is now to begin, my mission to make others love the good God as I love him, to give my little way to souls." - St. Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face.

About Me

Cynthia Kerr
I am a cradle Catholic and former owner of a Catholic Bookstore that was forced to close in September 2007 due to a steady loss of sales in recent years. In 1997 I was drawn to the carmelite order by St. Therese. I made my First Promise just a month after having to close Corpus Christi Bookstore - such a day mixed with bittersweet emotions. St. Therese has taught me to have ultimate trust in Our Lord, especially when we don't understand what He asks of us or why He has asked it. I'm blogging in the hopes of spreading St. Therese's little way of spiritual childhood. St. Therese asks us to have trust to the point of folly. When we give our trust to Jesus in such a radical way, He sends us graces (oftentimes in the form of sufferings) that increase our faith and love for Him. I encourage you to take that leap of faith and jump into Jesus' lap as St. Therese imagined herself doing, calling him Papa and giving Him her total trust to take care of all of her needs. May we take her as our Hero Patron in our efforts to grow closer to Jesus Christ and His Blessed Virgin Mother Mary. Through the intercession of St. Therese, may our prayers be answered.
